We have a hair stylist and make-up artist on staff. We would like to assign then to shoots, so they can get e-mail notifications when booked and see only their shoots on their calendar.
The only way to do that is when adding then as personnel, list them as "also a photographer". We'd rather not do that, as it would show on the contract there more photographers than reality.
Can an option for "Also a Beauty Stylist" or something like "Other Staff" be created and utilized when booking shoots?

We could really use the ability to simply attach personnel to a shoot without them having to be an actual shootq user. The ability for them to get an email notification would be a bonus, but not needed. The important thing is that we want to see who has been assigned to what shoots, but the shooters (often times only working with us a few times a year) don't need or want to use shootq.
Bumping this again -- We just hired a cinematographer and we would like to be able to add her as such instead of a photographer. I work with some very picky clients in the DC area and they will want to see her listed as such.

Has anything been done on this as it is imperative to my company to add multiple types of people to an event..
We also have on staff MUA, Coordinator, and others. This seems like a very important and basic needed feature.
any movement on this?? I too want to have an option for listing other types of pros!
Thanks for your input and suggestions. ShootQ does not have the ability to add "Other Roles" to People and Roles. However you can add every Relationship Type to the shoot itself giving you the ability to track all vendors associated to the shoot (coordinator, venue, cake, makeup artist etc).
As far as adding multiple types of people to an event such as a videographer and photographer. I will add this feature to our list to be reviewed. We have a process in place for moving new features into the queue and have added your request to that list. The executive team reviews all technical ideas every few weeks and prioritize them based on a variety of factors including popularity amongst our users, development schedule and future roadmap.

Has there been any progress on this? A timeline of perhaps when ShootQ could be updated with this feature? I use freelancers and I want to assign them to specific jobs but when I give them access to the system they can see all my leads and even all correspondence between me and my clients - that's definitely not how I want the system to work! If anyone has any ideas here I would love to hear them!

What I have done to make it a little better visually for clients is change the "Roles" type by adding the custom type "Team Members".
It does not allow us to show each persons role, but it at least shows the client how many Team Members" are working the event, rather than just "Photographers" etc/.
Keep in mind, any of your users will easily be able to see things like:
LEADS, CORRESPONDENCE, CONTACT INFO, CONTRACTS WITH PRICING (can see when they choose to print dossier and select "contracts".

We'll probably be adding multiple personnel types to the new ShootQ platform that we are working on. But it is not an option in the current system. As a workaround, some studios add additional personnel as relationships on a shoot. In this way, they can see who is working on the job but not necessarily give those additional personnel access to ShootQ.
