I've gone into my clients contact form an removed the anniversary date from the important dates selection because I don't want their name taking up space on my calendar every year on their anniversary date. But after I save the form, the system automatically re-inserts the anniversary date. There seems to be no way to get ride of it. REALLY, I don't want the bride and gross name with a big fat heart showing up on their anniversary every year, that's just taking up space and really clutters up my calendar. We need to be able to turn this off somewhere. Am I missing something?

Brad Ross Cohen > hmmm... any answer on this?

Ben McMillen > we do a ton of weddings and yes this is annoying and makes the calendar hard to view. there has to be a way to remove viewing the anniversary dates
-
Aaron Nelson > I was just wondering how to turn that off....very interested in the answer!!!

Aaron Nelson > Ohhh - or had a thought at least for a quicker fix: any way we can change the color of the anniversary reminders?? The heart just isn't enough to decipher between anniversary and a booked job.
-
Ben McMillen > i submitted a support ticket. they said there is currently no way to turn this off. i really hope they make the change. it's overwhelming to look at when you do a lot of weddings with multiple services
-
Ron Priest > Yeah, that seems like a no brainer huh?
-
Brian Stevens > Agreed. Would be nice to have this ability to turn then on or off in the calendar.

Our Labor of Love Photography > I am discovering that much of ShootQ is really not made for companies with several photographers. We have 4 brands and there are many many glitches about this. This anniversary setting is another one. I don't want to see 10 leads, 4 bookings and 4 anniversaries on one day. Very frustrating that it is not optional. -
Ron Priest > Has anyone else put in a support ticket on this? I'm asking because I'm starting to believe the ShootQ staff doesn't spend much time reading the forums.
-
Ben McMillen > the support ticket reply I received didn't sound too promising but it's on their radar so fingers crossed. As far as shootq not being ready for large studios I agree. But they have been open anytime I have sent in any major problems or glitches. Please send them your input. Not just on the forums. I look forward to seeing more integration for large studios.

Ryan Guthrie > This is an enormous inconvenience for us as well. We run about 150 weddings per year and only been on the system for about a year, so it' starting to really stack up and get in the way of our calendars. Will this show only the 1 year anniversary, or will it show every client, every year? I put in a ticket to make this an optional feature, or just remove it, they pointed me here. It seems like the filters on the left side currently (lead, bookings, external calendars) can be turned on and off easily and that it should be the same thing with anniversaries... my 2 cents....

Ben McMillen > we had 202 weddings last year between photography, photo booths and video. and everyone has their own login for shootq and it's making all of our heads spin trying to look each persons individual job. Not looking forward to the busy months! I would like it turned off. Or at least the option. I like the idea. Just now how it's forced on with no options.

Michael Moss > I am a new user and I am very surprised that you cannot turn off these anniversary reminders. My calendar is very cluttered and difficult to read. I expected a little more from shootq since I switched over from Tave.
-
Michelle Amarante > Yeah this has been bugging for a while as well! If you guys are listening we'd really love to see a fix for this... It's a major annoyance for me.
-
Guillermo Gomez > Please, Please get rid of the anniversary date information ASAP! It just clogs up the calendar horribly - whoever designed this into the calendar function was not familiar with what a studio needs out of their calendar. Why can't the anniversary dates be optional like the leads are optional?
-
Michael Moss > Are you guys even listening??? Please remove this!
-
Michelle Amarante > What makes this even more ridiculous is that anniversaries for Dead Leads also show up unless you turn Leads off in your calendar!
-
Michelle Amarante > Nope never mind I was wrong. They don't go away if you turn your leads off in the calendar.
-
Brad Ross Cohen > Just posted on the facebook page. They seem to check that more often.
-
Michael Moss > Good idea Brad. When it's public, I"m sure they will want to save themselves the embarrassment of their clients clamoring for such a simple fix, that they've yet to address.

Permanently deleted user > Any update on the facebook?
-
Brad Ross Cohen > nada. No answer. Just a we will look into it.
-
Permanently deleted user > hmmm... well i have two feature requests that are in processing. One I thought was pretty simple, but I guess isn't. You can accept payment via Google Checkout, but on the list of type of payment method when applying the manual payment (which you have to do with Google Checkout) Google Checkout isn't an option.
So on each one I keep putting Other and typing Google Checkout in the description line.
Anyway, hope they get around to this before I get done with a year into this.
-
Brad Ross Cohen > Isn't Google checkout really just a credit card payment?
-
Kirstie Tweed > I too find it really distracting when trying to reference my calendar for what dates I am currently available and getting a clear picture of my monthes ahead. It also includes anniversaries of weddings that were cancelled and I really don't want that bad reminder. I would love the option to be able to turn off the anniversary reminders or even just be able to select what anniversaries I would like to remember. The calendar feature is really helpful but it becomes less so when you are trying to scan for what days you are available and the anniversaries block up the calendar. Please consider having that be an optional feature.

Ron Priest > They aren't listening. They're too busy sending out Valentines cards trying to get their customers (i.e. US ... sometimes I think they forget that) to spread the love on Twitter and Facebook for 1 chance to win 6 months free service. It's problems like this that get's them in so much trouble with us. Remember the iPhone incident? Don't get me going on that, it's still the biggest mistake they have ever made. But... I suppose that's what it's going to take to get them to answer us about this problem too. It's just remarkable how they can just sat back and completely ignore us with so many of us complaining about this problem.
-
Michael Moss > Guys...the trick is to fill their facebook page with comments and complaints. That way it looks bad on their "public image" if they don't respond.
-
Ron Priest > Yes, you are right. But the point is, it shouldn't have to come to that. It results in a lot of hard feelings, as with the iPhone incident and I hope it doesn't have to happen like that. Again, it's just so unbelievable that they won't take some action, and start communicating with us on this problem. I have sent in a ticket on this problem, and maybe if everyone else that hasn't yet done so, would do so, maybe they will get the hint before mud slinging begins.

Ral Nicanor > Hey Guys,
I definitely hear what you are all saying about the calendar issue. It does get pretty tedious - especially since it already shows anniversaries for couples I haven't even shot their wedding yet (or is that just me).
I do want say that the ShootQ team doesn't really check the forums, and they've made that clear many times. Sending in a ticket is the best way to get a hold of them. And although it doesn't seem they are listening.. they are. I've been with them a while now and the one thing that sets them apart (for me), is that they listen and see what they can implement next. Although they can't flip a switch and magically change things to our whim, they'll be do their best to incorporate it in their next update. I'll be very surprised if this isn't in the next update.
just my 2 cents.

Brad Ross Cohen > I sent a request to ShootQ about this issue. The reply was to send me back to this forum to request this change. They said "our Development team valuable feedback for future changes to ShootQ. Our team frequently visits this forum to consider functionality changes and feature requests from our online community."
So it seems we need to get this we need to get users to come to this forum and express their desire to see this changed.
