Okay, well ... I'v submitted a ticket, but I was curious if anyone else is having a problem with Safari on the Mac crashing quite frequently since this latest release. I don't yet see any pattern developing, it just seems to be crashing randomly. I did have Block Pop-Up Windows activated, but after turning that off it still crashes. So anyone else seeing this?

Justin Lund > If anyone does experience this, could you submit a ticket and attach any Safari crash logs? That may help us diagnose any issues. The logs can be found in YourHomeDirectory/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/
@Ron, would you please update your ticket with any crash logs you may have for yesterday or today?

Ron Priest > Sure

Ron Brewer > I am having the same thing happen on my PC. I have noted that it crashes EVERY TIME I work in Pricing and some of the Settings.

Ron Priest > So tonight Safari crashed in the Calendar view while switching months.

Justin Lund > @Ron Brewer I see the ticket you created, I'm looking into it.

Ron Brewer > Update -when using Firefox, no problems. -
Ryan Petrello > Ron (Brewer),
In one of your earlier posts, you said:
"I am having the same thing happen on my PC. I have noted that it crashes EVERY TIME I work in Pricing and some of the Settings."
Does it really happen *every single time* you work in pricing, or just periodically? At least, is there a sequence of step-by-step actions you can take that will *always* result in Safari crashing?

Ron Brewer > Ryan, It crashed every time I worked in Pricing, (I tried at least five times but am not sure how many times I actually tried). I never got out of pricing on any attept, so the problem is consistent in that regard. I can't remember exactly when it crashed (I am on vacation and have not used it much), but I was able to make some changes before I got the windows error message and then safari would just close. I will try to get some time tomorrow to test it. Ron Brewer -
Ryan Petrello > Ron,
Iiiiiiiinteresting. Whenever you take some time to test, if you are indeed able to get it to crash consistently, be sure to let me know.

Ryan Petrello > Just checking in,
Are you all still experiencing this issue? Has anybody been successful in narrowing down crashes to certain actions or portions of the app? One common denominator we've noticed is that almost all of you (to my knowledge) are using the latest Safari 5, which was released only a month ago and debuted a new Javascript engine that's reportedly quite crashy. If we can narrow this down to something in ShootQ's code, I'd love to track down and squash this bug :)!

Ron Brewer > Tried about 6 changes today in Pricing and it worked fine each time. Thanks.

Ryan Petrello > Is anybody else still experiencing very frequent browser crashes in Safari 5?
-
Jeffrey Haney > I am. It's when I'm working in the custom pricing and working below the description before I put any words into the description
-
Ryan Petrello > Jeffrey,
Just to be clear, you're talking about the "Package Contents" table in the custom package editor when building an online (or manual) booking?
Have you noticed any consistent steps for reproducing this (e.g., I click on X, then immediately click on Y, and the browser crashes)? I've played around in this area a bit and wasn't able to get it to crash.

Andrew Sorlie > Hi Guys - I'm having problems using both Safari and Chrome - and I have been experiencing this for over a month now - I simply can't log in using either browser. I type in my username and password and hit submit but then the screen just refreshes itself and it does this repeatedly. Firefox has also had some issues with crashing so I don't like using it and you can't see all of your reports using Firefox either...
