New Bug Fixes (August 21, 2013)

Hello Everyone,

We just released the latest update to ShootQ.

Here are some of the major updates this round:

  1. Custom Orders with Shipping - We fixed the bug that was causing these orders to fail when shipping costs were applied.
  2. Updated RedCart Integration - RedCart has released version 4, with some top notch updates. Check out a highlight of RedCart version 4 at: https://vimeo.com/71621693.   We have made the necessary updates at ShootQ to continue to support this integration.
  3. iPhone App Push Notifications - All push notifications are working again for the iPhone App.
  4. Paid Invoice Report Updated - The report formula is calculating the rows correctly.

Happy Q’ing!

Are you ever going to fix the bug that removed the option to set a default workflow???

please please PLEASE fix the iPhone app!  It is so bad that I usually end up opening the shootQ website in my phone browser and trying to accomplish what I need to do.  I would SO appreciate a complete make-over of the app...for iPhone and iPad too!

Caroline, thank you for taking the time to post on the forums.  At this time, we do not have immediate plans to add the option to select a default workflow.

Susannah and Peter, the current iPhone app has it's limitations, which we are aware of.  We released a new version of the app to work with the new iOS.  We didn't add any features, but it might work better for you.  We are also aware that it has some formatting issues on an iPhone 5, which we are reviewing to resolve.

We do have a process in place for moving features into the queue to be reviewed.  Any new features or changes require development and our challenge is simply one of timing.  We review all technical ideas every few weeks and revisit new and old requests at that time.  We have a variety of factors that go into the decision making process.  We are constantly evaluating our users needs/requests, addressing bugs that pop up, regular software maintenance and integration upkeep.

I have been with you for a while now and love the system, but there are some quirks with the system (ie, default workflow which should be an option to set it and forget it) but your lack of updates to the iphone app is very disappointing.  iPhone 5 has been around for over a year.  It should not take this long.  I'm also disappointed that you don't have a dedicated ipad app.  It works through the browser but that is far from optimal. This seems like a natural progression. For what we pay, I feel that the company should spend more time fixing the issues related to the core of your business and less time working on things that a lot of people, like myself, don't need or care for.
