ShootQ Update- December 18, 2013

This morning we released some improvements to our infrastructure at ShootQ.  The upgrades include a better storage solution for archived emails and calendar feeds moving forward.  Unfortunately we are experiencing an unexpected issue as a result of this transition. 

We are aware of the issue and are diligently working to get the issue resolved.  As of 8am PST today, December 18, 2013 email attachments are failing.  We understand how frustrating this is for you and your business.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.  We will post again with a progress update.  We are working to have this resolved by the end of the day, if not sooner.

*Update 3:45pm PST - It has been reported that emails are not sending through ShootQ.  They appear to be stuck in a "sending" state.  We are working to resolve this issue and will post updates as we know more.

*Update 5:30pm PST - Although it does appear that all emails are stuck in a "sending" status, they do eventually send.  They are currently delayed by an hour or two due to the update that is still in progress.  This issue will be resolved tomorrow when our update is completed.

*Nov 19, 2013 Update 9:15am PST - All new emails with and without attachments are going through.  Any emails that did not have attachments that were backlogged from yesterday have sent.  We have a small number of emails with attachments from yesterday that are still stuck. Our development team is still working on getting those unstuck and sent.

*Nov 19, 2013 Update 10:30am PST - All email issues from yesterday have been resolved in their entirety.  For those of you that were waiting on emails with attachments to go through, they were just sent.  All emails with and without attachments are working as expected.

    Issues like...should I be worried about missing emails? Or payments? It would be nice to know what to keep an eye out for...

    Hi Doug,

    We listed what the issue was in the second paragraph above, "As of 8am PST today, December 18, 2013 email attachments are failing."  This is only in regards to email attachments if an email with an attachment is being sent through ShootQ.  If an email is sent without an attachment it goes through just fine.  We are working hard to get this resolved.

    FYI.. now ShootQ can't send any emails... when I send an email it stays in the "Sending" status... but never actually sends it.

    Hello, I have the same problem as Thomas. I have several e-mails as sending and none of them include attachments.

    Are there any plans to address the sales tax reports that have been plaguing us?

    Faith,

    I would love to chat with you about the sales tax reports, once we have this resolved.  At the moment we need to keep focused on working to get a resolution to this email issue.

    Thanks for all of you that posted about your emails not sending.  Although it does appear that all emails are stuck in a "sending" status, they do eventually send.  They are currently delayed by an hour or two due to the update that is still in progress.  This issue will be resolved tomorrow when our update is completed.

    Ugh I have a client waiting for a contract and it's stuck in send mode and I already emailed her via gmail that I sent it.  Now she's replying saying she never got it.  I hope she gets it before it gets too late.  It's 6:30pm now.

    None of my emails are sending even the ones without attachments!!

    It finally went through after 3 hours.  I haven't heard back from the prospective client.  Bad timing perhaps :/

    Good morning all, my e-mails are still not sendings. Yesterday's e-mails went through but this morning they all appear in "sending" status and after doing a few tests, I realized my clients are not receiving them either. Please help, have some last minute bookings.

    My client can't log in to book a shoot using the code that was sent to her in an email - is this due to this bug as well?

    Thank you so much for all of the updates, it is much appreciated. Can you confirm that e-mails absolutely do send eventually?  I don't mind having them delayed an hour or so, I just want to make sure everything does go through.  Thank you again! :)
