Sometimes the information that is returned from the credit card transactions via the API isn't always helpful. The merchant accounts often return cryptic codes which may only say "Transaction could not be processed" or "Transaction denied because fields not matching," which are pretty vague and unhelpful. For instance, Authorize.net has over 300 different error codes.If your merchant account was working previously and suddenly starts giving you error messages, we recommend contacting your merchant account provider for additional details. If they can't help you sort it out, give us a shout and we'll do what we can from our end.
