How do I integrate my WordPress contact form?

Visit the WordPress Plugin Page for third-party plugins that integrate your contact form.

*Note: These integrations were created by third-parties, so If you need support regarding their Wordpress plugins, please contact the plugin creators!

UPDATE: You don't necessarily need a plugin to sync up the Wordpress contact form. You can use the Leads via Email method of integration. This video will show you how to integrate Wordpress' native contact form via this method.

It was very easy to integrate with the ShootQ Plugin by Flaunt Books.

    Thanks!

Very easy to integrate, especially with the ProPhoto theme.

I cannot get this to work. Does someone mind posting their code that Contact Form 7 generated?

Hi Gene, First, you're going to want to grab the ShootQ Lead Email within your ShootQ. Go to Settings, Contact Form, Integrate Website, and the Lead From Email address will be towards the bottom of the page. Then, in your Contact Form Settings in WordPress, you'll want to generate an email that goes to this address when your contact form is completed. When I used this pluton, I had one email go directly to my email address and then mail2 go to this ShootQ lead email. I recommend setting up thie ShootQ email to be very basic, such as this: Name: [name] Date: [date] Email: [email] Phone: [phone] Message: [message] When this email goers to ShootQ, the application will do it's best to read the information and generate a lead. That's why it's important to keep the layout clean. Note that when I used this method, my leads were not categorized automatically. Theyball came in as "Other" and I had to give them a shoot type. Hope that helps! Leeann SQUAD Consultant

With ProPhoto Blog 3, how do I have this contact form open on the site instead of the built-in form?

    Hi Scott,

First, go to "P3 Customize" on your Wordpress panel. On the "Contact" tab, select "Do not include built in contact form".

if you'd like for your ShootQ contact form to open if a client selects a "Contact" option, you can add this as a menu bar link. Go to the "Menu" option and select "Add/Remove Menu Options" Scroll down until you can add a "Custom Link". Here you would have it say something like "Contact", and the link would be the link to your ShootQ contact form (which you can get by going to Settings--> Contact Form --> View Contact Form link on the left.

    Hope that helps!

I would LOVE to get rid of the (sorry ShootQ) awful contact page layout and actually have the form's look & feel integrate with my website. Throwing the contact form into a frame like that looks ugly, and I cannot change the layout of the ShootQ contact form without changing the look of the client login pages.

just use the ShootQ plugin for Cforms or other option Ben - you can style it however you want...

Leeann says "grab the ShootQ Lead Email within your ShootQ" and use it as the "To:" value in Contact Form 7, but it seems like it should work through the API without the Lead Email. The ShootQ for Contact Form 7 info gives no instruction about what email to put in the "To:" field in the Contact Form 7 page. Also, ShootQ says to use the Lead Email "If you have a website that can't connect with the Public API".

Besides that, I put my Lead email into the "To:" field and it does send the info to ShootQ, but ShootQ can't handle it for some reason: "ShootQ received a lead via email, and was unable to process it..."

    Any ideas?

Ron, the ShootQ for Contact Form 7 uses the ShootQ API so the email address you use is irrelevant. If you used the lead email (and it worked) it would create a duplicate lead. You can use the email part while testing your form or as a redundancy feature, but otherwise you could use a bogus email.

I have spent the past two days working with this plugin, and have made my own tweaks to it. Namely, I found the date parsing to be faulty which meant that the lead in ShootQ had no session date. I have fixed this and have added the ability to include form elements in the message/remarks part of the ShootQ lead generation. For instance with my old form, I had people give me the best time to call them for a consult, but with the as-is ShootQ for Contact Form 7 plugin this couldn't be done. Now it can. ;)

If anyone is interested, I could help implement the original and/or share my modified plugin. It was really quite easy

I like the styling of the form, but I don't want this logo to be on the form for my wordpress site, is there anyway to fix that?

Ok, folks! I just published a blog post about the changes I made on the plugin and how to use it. I think it should be easier than trying to answer the same questions via email over and over again.

New plugin for WordPress! This one integrates with Gravity Forms and surpasses the previous one that used Contact Form 7 by a long shot. It's easier to use, and Gravity Forms has many more features. Trust me, you'll want to switch! :D

I've been working on this one for some time, but just now finished putting the final touches on it. It should also be available on WordPress.org in the next few days, which I just wasn't quite comfortable doing with the old plugin.

Good work Benjamin - I was already having my website re-designed and had added gravity forms in to give us far more options. I am really excited to check this out. I was trying to have it do a send mail plain/text and I was almost there with it, but hopefully this can save time with some of the quick forms.

You're welcome, Nicholas! The problem with simply using the Gravity Forms notification email is that the email is HTML and not plain text. You would have to change the code to force plain text only to change it again after the next update/upgrade.

Just to let anyone know who is using, prophoto, the shootq integration plugin does not fire the shootq autoresponder, has anyone figured a way for that to happen?

Luke, you need to set that up in ShootQ itself. Go to the Settings tab and choose Workflow under Business and Finances. Then click over to Lead Tracking. Edit the New status to set up your autoresponse email.

Ben I downloaded your plugin but there was no settings tab in wordpress so I had no way to set it up other than deactivate it.

Jamie, the plugin is an add on to Gravity Forms, which you use to create the form you use to collect your lead information. Once you install and activate it, the ShootQ plugin can be reactivated and it should work. (If not, try uninstalling it completely first, then reinstall.)

Anyone have an idea of how to integrate the correct format that works best with Shootq into ProPhoto4? Without being able to change the fields, I know I can add custom ones but that doesn't help relay that info correctly to Shootq causing a mess, I am at a brick wall.

If you want any customization and a form that integrates seamlessly with your WordPress site, I highly recommend using the Gravity Forms ShootQ Add-on plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gravity-forms-shootq-add-on/). You have to purchase Gravity Forms (http://beauti.us/GForms), but it's well worth the price.

P.S. You only need the personal version of Gravity Forms unless you have multiple sites or wish to use their other add-ons.

    Hi,

How do I link our shootq enquiry form on our website to actually generate a lead direct in shoot q for that customer when they enquire for the first time?

At the moment it just spits to our studio email not into shootq
