Well, all you RedCart fans out there, your day has arrived! You're a hearty bunch and you've been asking for this and now it's here. See all your new RedCart orders in ShootQ, in just a few simple steps!
First off, you are going to need access to your RedCart admin page ("Your-Domain.com/RedCart/admin" in all likelihood) and you should be using the newest version of RedCart that was just released. It will technically work with an older version, but you may have some frustrations with tax names not being sent across. We will still see the taxes, but not the associated names for those taxes. So... get logging into your RedCart admin pages everybody, let's do this!
In the Configuration section, select the option labeled Business Information.
At the bottom of the Business Information section, you will see the Order Data Integration section which is the only thing you need to worry about to get your RedCart connected to ShootQ.
The first field, the Integration URL, is going to look the same for everyone. You simply need to enter the following URL:
https://app.shootq.com/proofing/_import
And this is how it should look:
For the next couple of fields, you are going to need some information from your ShootQ account. Simply navigate to the Settings tab in ShootQ and click on the Public API option in the Integrations section.
If you haven't already done so for a different feature of the ShootQ, enable Public API Access so that ShootQ and RedCart can start talking back and forth. Once this is enabled, you will see your unique ShootQ API Access Key and Brand Abbreviation. You will need to fill those into the next two fields in your RedCart account.
In the Custom Variable 1, you need to enter the API Access Key (the long letter and number string) you found in ShootQ.
In the Custom Variable 2, you need to enter the Brand Abbreviation you found in ShootQ.
Now, just click the Activate checkbox and the Update button and you are done.
No, I'm serious, you're done! The next time someone pays for an order in RedCart, you will see it in your ShootQ account Home tab, just like so:
Clicking this link will display a list of your proofing orders. You have options to review all the details of the order (either in ShootQ or RedCart) and you will see who placed the order and can use the Lookup option to search your Relationship database for them.
The main thing to do is assign this order to a Shoot, which you can do by searching through the list of all your shoots and matching the order up. Once you've done this for a shoot the first time, it will be stored in our system and ShootQ will recall this if it sees any future orders from that gallery.
Once a matched Shoot has been chosen, you will have the option to Approve the order and send it to the Shoot or you can still Ignore it, if it was not an order you wanted to have in ShootQ.
Also, both of these functions can be executed in a batch fashion, by using the checkboxes to select multiple orders.
Once you've approved the order, it will be added to the Billing and Legal section of the associated shoot and the invoice can be viewed, a contract can be added and it can be shared with the client area. It will be just like any other invoice associated with the shoot.
So there you have it! We hope you're as excited about this integration as we are to have it ready for you.

Yay!!!! Excellent idea! Loveeeeeee it!!!!!
AWESOME!!! Love this integration with RedCart. Thank you!
Will you be adding integration with other software, such as Pickpic, the older and newer versions?
Thanks,
Mindy
Will this software integration allow us to make a registry (for bridal/wedding packages specifically)?? If so, how do you recommend making a concept like that work with this integration?
Super excited about this!
I second the old pickpic integration. I know they were bought by WHCC so that may be an impediment but it would be great.
Sincerely,
Keith
Thanks!!! I'm SO excited about this integration! :)
I want to also add I would LOVE a PickPic integration too. Any chance of that happening ? I would love to be able to have PicPick's gift registry integrate with ShootQ.
Hi Jennifer, we have nothing planned for PickPic at this time.
Hey ShootQ! Does this work across 2 studios?
Hey Melissa! The integration only allows for one brand connection per RedCart account. This is because it requires a brand abbreviation to be entered into the custom variable section. If you have another RedCart system, you should be able to integrate that with another brand. I hope that helps.

A pickpic integration would be great!
Since this is an order, will it include the totals in the profit/COGS calculations at the bottom of the Billing and Legal page?
Thanks,
Mindy
Hey Jerome, thanks for the comment. We talked to PickPic a few months before the Pictage acquisition, and they were decidedly un-interested. Given that WHCC and Pictage are direct competitors, I would say that it's highly unlikely that we will have a PickPic integration. However, we will have a brand new and very awesome proofing solution in Nimbus soon. Stay tuned.
Hey Mindy,
Does RedCart store COGS data? If not, there's no real way for us to calculate it...
Hi Andrew!
Redcart may not store COGS data, but ShootQ does and the products that we sell line up with products that we offer in ShootQ -- or at least they do for me.
Having the products match up would be similar to the concept for Proselect -- once you match the items up then when you imported it the next time, ShootQ would 'know'
Are there any plans to make the integration with Redcart work in a similar way as you have it working with Proselect?
That would give us a true read on our profit.
Thanks for listening,
Mindy
I'll make a note, but I would need to do some investigation. I think there is a reason why we can't treat redcart orders the same as proselect...it seems like there is an invisible UUID/SKU passed from proselect that isn't present in redcart, but I can't remember. I'll dig around and see what I can find.
I look forward to a Nimbus solution... Right now I am stuck with Pickpic 3...
