a space for "Photographer arrival time" and "arrival location" above the ceremony start time would be useful. Many times brides get ready in hotels or their parent's home, so we are arriving there at some point before the ceremony.

Yes pleas add this!
I ALSO AGREE!
I think at the time they sign the contract, they do not know that. I believe creating a worksheet/questionnaire would do this part better. :)
This would be great!
I know these types of requests can be very specific to the way a particular business is operated but, it would be nice to have this field available for use on the contract. It's pretty standard language in contracts to specify coverage details. A good example of how marketing language can be clarified us a contracts is when you say "unlimited wedding day coverage" some brides think that means from the moment they wake up on their wedding day. Not kidding. The contract clarifies an ambiguity.
And, when the package selected is not unlimited coverage, the coverage end time become relevant on the contract.
Also, on a related note, multiple venues are often time used on a wedding day. And, having the ability to specify the 'Venue One Name' and 'Venue One Start Time' would be awesome. An example of this use case is
1. rehearsal dinner on 01/28/11 @ 7:00 PM GMT,
2. bridal prep at home on 01/29/11 @ 4:00 PM GMT,
3. ceremony on 01/29/11 @ 7:00 PM GMT and
4. reception on 01/29/11 @ 8:00 PM GMT.
I have this in a questionnaire now, but it might be nice in the actual shoot info.
I would add, perhaps changing the "location" verbiage to say "location address" so they put a specific address instead of just "Old Mill Inn" or something like that.
I like this idea a lot! Just met with a bride and as usual it's always something we get nailed down as well as the location. I think this would be very useful to my studio as well as having it show up on the client portal under "My Wedding". Great idea!
For me, a wedding is a 3 location event, not a two location event. It would be nice to have a "starting location" on top of the ceremony and reception locations in the at-a-glance view for each client.
I agree, I've been manually adding that to the contract. All of my weddings start with "Getting Ready" shots, and I've had a few brides panic when it didn't show up on the contract (Variable), or in their Client Area.
Yes this would be REALLY helpful!
Yes, definitely the option for more than 2 locations would be helpful - Bride's House / Groom's House / Ceremony / Photo Location / Reception
Dawn Earles nailed it. A wedding is a 3 location event. It's not a contract inclusion item, it's a logistics and communication to the photographers working the event item.
This feature is a small part of what should be done, we need full timelines we can construct and share with shooters. If you agree you should LIKE this link too : http://help.shootq.com/entries/372445-feature-request-timelines
I'd say this is very important too. Ever since 1995 our paper wedding contract had the SHOW LOCATION and SHOW TIME on it, which is almost ALWAYS different from the ceremony location. It seems to me that this is a contractually critical field and should be available on the shoot information next to ceremony and not merely delegated to a questionnaire.
