Deleting Lead Status Labels

Hi,
happy new year! We are working on reorganizing our lead status labels and would like to delete a few of them but have searched through all of the settings options and tried doing it via the leads area but have not been able to successfully delete them. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Settings --> Workflow --> Lead Tracking. There's an option to re-order, edit, delete, and add there.
