The referrers is really a feature that need some love. The short story - cleaning this up is a long and manual process depending on how many shoots have the information. Honestly, I would say just Update the Relationship in your contact list, making it stand out from the other options, and stick with that going forward. This will greatly help you to keep concise accurate referral reports.

Here is how I would recommend cleaning it up. If anyone else has suggestions, I'm all ears cause it sucks.

First, do the above and decide on a unique name for this referrer, which has contact info (so you can search for them in the Relationship Tab). This will help you to visually see WHO this referrer is associated to (the only place!).

Sidenote - if you are ever entering a Referral, ALWAYS select to enter relationship info, even if you have no more than a name so you can link back to it in the future.

Now is the hard part. Going through your shoots and changing any of the alternative referrals to this unique referrer. It's not so much hard as it is time consuming if you have a lot of shoots. I typically open tabs from the shoot list for a page, and you can breeze through it pretty well since you are only looking for a specific phrase.
